Who we are
Valley Compliance Testing (VCT) is a sole trader based in Kenfig Hill, Bridgend, South Wales, and is the data controller for the information you provide through this website. You can contact us at info@valleycompliancetesting.co.uk or on 0739 404 3265.
What we collect
If you use our contact form or email us, we collect the details you choose to give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, property type and the message you send. We don't collect any special-category data, and we don't ask for it.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, and arrange and carry out any work you ask us to do. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to a request you have made) and, where you go on to instruct us, performance of a contract.
Who can see it
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone. Form submissions are processed by our website host, Netlify, which delivers them to us — their handling is covered by their own privacy terms. We use Google Fonts to display the site's typefaces, which may involve your browser contacting Google's servers; we don't use this for advertising or tracking.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. A single piece of local browser storage may be used only to remember that you've dismissed the cookie notice. That's it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your request and to meet our legal and insurance obligations, after which they're securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, just contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
